Daisy says, "I was inspired to make this expression of the joy a mother takes in her
baby because it is a very human emotion and the paisley is a very human shape. It is
based on the shape made when a slightly curled side of the hand is dipped in dye and
pressed to cloth. From this simple basic shape came the elaborate designs we know today as
paisley.
