Emmaline,
reproduction Presbyterian doll, pattern by Lucinda Durbin ("Presbylla
Catherine"). This doll is made from muslin and stands 17 inches tall. The head,
neck and arms were painted with multiple layers of Messy Mix (1/2 gel medium, 1/2 modeling
paste), then gesso, acrylic paint, crackled and aged. Clothing is removable (my own

This is HAPP The Aromatherapy Doll, designed by Jessica Kennady. I received this wonderful pattern and supply kit as a gift from Jessica. Filled with apple-cinnamon sachet, this doll also feels nice in the hand. Hair is a wonderful green and purple fiber. Body is a nice stretchy velvet-like fabric. Head is velour. This is Sophie, made from Judi
Ward's "Whatever! Whatever!" pattern. Sophie stands about 23 inches tall
(to the top of her head) and was made to be a little plumper than Ivy. This was
achieved by changing the stretch direction of the fabric (robe velour in this case).
Her hair is mohair, is fully jointed and has real eyelashes. She

This is a group photo from Meo Feroy's Funky Fred class held at Judi Ward's home (March, 2000). My Fred is wearing the tan pants. I really enjoyed seeing how different they all turned out, despite using the same pattern. Each had a distinct personality. |
