This doll was made using my pattern Under the Harvest Moon, designed for Doll
Crafter & Costuming magazine, September 2009 issue. Harvest Moon is made from dyed
muslin. She stands 22-23 inches tall. She has a trapunto style face with minimal needle
sculpting. Her facial features are acrylic paint and colored pencil. Her hair is fringed
upholstery trim. Her clothing is removable. She has button jointed shoulders and hips, and
hinge joints at the elbows and knees. Pattern

Special
doll made for retiring CEO, Terry. This doll was made in his likeness, using a photograph
printed onto fabric. Stands about 18 inches tall, Terry's clothing is not removable. Hair
is mohair, glued onto his head, trimmed and styled. This doll was presented to Terry

April, a doll I made for the Eugene (Oregon) joint doll club meeting & luncheon. I used Sue Farmer's "Izzie" pattern. She's made from dyed muslin and stands 13 1/2 inches tall. Sparkle, 21-inch commissioned doll modeled after a cartoon character by Beth
Roose. She's made of craft velour, with wire armature in her neck. Her face is lightly
sculpted, with painted features. Her hair is sewn and quilted panne velvet.

these dolls stand just over 18 and 22 inches tall. Face and finger divisions are needle
sculpted. Head, upper chest and arms are painted with a mixture of modeling paste and
acrylic gel medium. Acrylic paints, colored pencils and pastels provide the coloring.
Buried bead joints at the knees. Boots are painted, the heels are

One of ten (numbered 350-359) ODACA Centerpiece Dolls for the 2008 luncheon. Verity pattern was reduced 75%. About 16.5 inches tall. Dolls are made from muslin. Wire armature in body/head. Face is needle sculpted. Head, upper chest/back, and arms are painted with layers of "Messy Mix," gesso, and acrylic paint. Buried bead joints at the knees. Shoes/boots are painted, with perle cotton or embroidery floss ties. Silk dupioni knickers. Dolls hold an artist palette and paint brush. |

Viola
Ruth, Alabama Baby inspired doll. Made from muslin, she stands about 17
inches tall. Wire armature from body into head for strength. Cloth head is
covered with polymer and paperclay. The clay is then covered with a knit fabric
which has been gessoed and painted. Ears are made from cloth, sewn, stuffed and
glued to the head. Clothing is removable. Her shoes and stockings are painted mauve
pink to match the flowers in her dress. Pattern available SOLD |

This is Verity (#2). She's made of muslin, and stands almost 23 inches tall. Her
face and finger divisions are needle sculpted. Her head, upper chest and arms are
painted with a mixture of modeling paste and acrylic gel medium. Acrylic paints,
colored pencils and pastels provide the coloring. She also has a fine crackling
medium applied to her face and hands/arms, with a light antique wash. She has buried bead
joints at the knees, and her lower legs are made of striped fabric. Her boots are
painted; the heels are Paperclay. Her dress is removable. Hair is Tibetan lamb on
the hide.

Henrietta Jane,
started in 2006 and finished in 2009! She began as a new design (prototype for my
Hoffman 2006 doll "Carlie") but her body was too small for her head and her face
had a blow-out so I set her aside. Now she's had a complete makeover. She's made of craft
velour and muslin. Her velour head was mended with paperclay, then painted with a mixture
of acrylic gel medium and modeling paste and covered with knit fabric. The pattern for
Carlie morphed into Verity, so she has many of Verity's features. SOLD |
