Doll No. 451
Oct., 2016
Pumpkinhead is adapted from an old pattern from the book "On Making, Mending, and Dressing Dolls" by Clara Hallard Fawcett, copyright 1949. I've used this pattern once before for a doll club challenge, and was disappointed at how hideously mis-shapen the head was after sewing and stuffing it - so I turned the doll into a pumpkin using paperclay-over-cloth pumpkin head doll. I liked how that doll turned out, so I decided to make another. I designed her clothing to be removable.
