Doll No. 485 April 2022 |
Liliana is an experiment design. She was prototype #1, but since
her body shape was particularly long and thin, I knew I wanted to do
something different with her. As a personal challenge, I decided to make a
Day of the Deal doll. She stands about 15 inches tall when not on her stand.
Her body contains a brass tube, so she can be removed from the brass rod on her stand in
order to sit. She has a paperclay sculpted head, painted in acrylics. She
has separate, applied thumbs. Her clothing is not removable. Her hair is
wool yarn. She has button jointed knees. SOLD The other two prototypes are below (Pippa and Ruby). |

completed): a
basic doll body design for a paperclay sculpted head. She has a short squat
body with a high waist. Her head is sculpted in a simplified Izannah Walker
style. Painted in acrylics, then aged with a one-step crackle product and
dilute brown wash. She has separate, applied thumbs. Clothing is removable.

Doll No. 478 April, 2021 |
Pumpkinhead
was adapted from an old pattern from the book "On Making, Mending, and
Dressing Dolls" by Clara Hallard Fawcett, copyright 1949. I've used this
pattern twice before, and was disappointed at how hideously misshapen the
head was after sewing and stuffing. I've made several modifications to the
pattern, and have covered the head with paperclay. About 15 inches tall. Her
clothing is removable. SOLD |
Doll No. 477 March, 2021 |
Ginger is a commissioned doll, made for a friend who lost her
mother. This doll represents her mother. She was made from my Averill
pattern, using craft velour. I used a modified head from my Cecelia pattern.
She is 19 inches tall. She has jointed shoulders, elbows, wrists, hip,
knees, and ankles. Her head also turns side-to-side. Her fingers are wired.

COVID Cecelia
(number 2). I'd originally planned to make only one COVID doll, to keep for
my own collection. But when I got several requests to formalize the scrub

Therefore, I needed to make a second doll. She stands about 12.5 inches tall.

is needle sculpted. Her clothing and shoes are removable.
Her hair is made from wool yarn, sewn in place. Doll Pattern Available (does not include pattern for scrubs, mask, cap, shoes). Separate scrubs e-pattern available on Etsy (does not include stethoscope or namebadge), and on this website's pattern page, as well. SOLD |

head.
